After watching the video, I asked him (though I know already the answer) “WHO IS THE ARRANGER?”
He then shared the sheet music and he answered, “I ARRANGED IT MYSELF…”
Shocked and a bit annoyed, I replied, “ARE YOU SURE?” Then I showed him my arrangement.
He confidently replied, “YES, SIR! I FOUND A PIANO SCORE ON A SHEET MUSIC WEBSITE AND USED IT AS MY REFERENCE…”
Then I replied, “DID YOU NOTICED THAT MY ARRANGEMENT AND YOUR ARRANGEMENT ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, NOTE FOR NOTE, FROM START TO FINISH?”
He still insists then told me, “SIR, IT’S JUST A COINCIDENCE…”
Oh my gulay! 99% coincidence. It’s like meeting someone who has the SAME birthdate, born exactly the same DAY, in the same HOSPITAL and at the same TIME!
I guess he is just trying to impress me or he wants me to check it or something, that he CAN arrange a song too.
By the way, this arrangement of mine is FREE on my website, and I arranged it way back 2012. Maybe an idiot removed my name and repost it. Unfortunately, this guy copied it NOT knowing that it was one my arrangements. Kaboom!!! He is very unlucky!
Somehow I still consider this as an honest mistake (that he didn’t know that it was MY arrangement in the first place) but the fact he still COPIED a piece of music that he found on a music website then CLAIMED it as his arrangement, is still showing a direct LACK of respect and courtesy.
So, DISRESPECTFUL or FUNNY?
